Dua Lipa
Carbon Footprint
The Brief
To mark Dua Lipa’s landmark double sell-out shows at Wembley Stadium, the goal was to create a cinematic, emotionally resonant short film that gave fans a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse at a defining moment in her career. Beyond the storytelling we wanted the film to reflect the values of a sustainable, low-impact production - aligning with both artist and crew's commitment to sustainable creativity.
Our Approach
Over four days, we followed Dua through final rehearsals, styling, soundcheck, and backstage rituals - capturing the 24-hour build-up to Wembley in real time. Directed by Becky Garner, the film was designed to feel immediate, immersive, and emotionally authentic. Blending stylised Super8 sequences with handheld intimacy, the result is a textured portrait of a pop icon preparing for one of the biggest performances of her life.
Working with Warner and Radical22, our team embedded sustainability into all stages of production. Our crew travelled primarily by public transport, and all kit was stored on-site between days to avoid multiple deliveries. Rather than sourcing external catering, we integrated with the tour’s kitchen to reduce food and transport waste. By building a tightly aligned, values-led crew and pre-planning every detail, we kept our carbon footprint low without compromising on the creative.
Released on YouTube and Instagram, The Beat Before has already seen extraordinary reach, with the Instagram post alone amassing nearly 150 million views within its first week - a significant leap beyond typical engagement benchmarks, with most of Dua’s video content capping around 10 million. The response underlines not just the power of authentic, beautifully made storytelling, but the appetite for work that reflects meaningful creative.
